Praktische tips om de meest voorkomende problemen met Grundig GNLP4635XDW op te lossen.
Oorzaak: Power cable is unplugged, fuse is blown, water is cut off, door is open, or On/Off button is not pressed
Check if the power cable is plugged in. Check the fuses in your house. Make sure that the water inlet tap is open. Make sure that you have closed the door of the machine. Make sure that you have turned on the machine by pressing the On/Off button.
Oorzaak: Dishes not placed orderly, unsuitable programme, impellers stuck or clogged, filters clogged or installed incorrectly, baskets overloaded, detergent stored in unsuitable conditions, insufficient detergent or rinse aid, detergent dispenser lid left open
Load the dishes as described in the user manual. Select a programme with a higher temperature and cycle time. Turn the lower and upper impellers by hand to make sure they rotate freely. Clean the impellers and filters regularly. Do not overload the baskets. Store detergent in a closed container. Adjust detergent amount according to soiling degree. Add rinse aid if necessary. Make sure the detergent dispenser lid is closed tightly.
Oorzaak: Dishes not placed orderly, insufficient rinse aid, machine unloaded right after programme ends, unsuitable programme selected, surface quality of kitchen utensils is deteriorated
Place dishes in a way that no water will accumulate in them. Check rinse aid indicator and add if necessary. Do not unload right after washing; slightly open the door and wait for steam evacuation, then unload from lower basket first. Select programmes with longer duration for higher drying performance. Do not wash kitchen utensils with deteriorated surfaces.
Oorzaak: Unsuitable programme selected, surface quality of kitchen utensils is deteriorated, detergent stored under unsuitable conditions
Select a programme with a higher temperature and cycle time. Do not wash kitchen utensils with deteriorated surfaces in dishwasher. Store detergent in a closed container, preferably use tablet detergents.
Oorzaak: Insufficient rinse aid, water hardness setting is low or salt level is insufficient, salt leakage exists
Check rinse aid indicator and add if necessary. Increase rinse aid setting if enough rinse aid is in the machine. Measure the hardness of the supply water and check the water hardness setting. Avoid spilling salt around the salt filling hole. Make sure the salt reservoir lid is tightly closed. Run the prewash programme to remove spilled salt.
Oorzaak: New machine, filters are clogged, dirty dishes kept in dishwasher for 2-3 days
A peculiar odour in a new machine will fade out after a couple of washes. Clean the filter system regularly. If not starting the machine right after adding dishes, remove remnants and run the Prewash programme without detergent every 2 days. Do not close the door completely to avoid odour build up. Use commercially available odour removers or machine cleaners.
Oorzaak: Salt leakage exists, salty food remnants remained for long time, electric installation not grounded, intensive cleansers used, metal items used for purposes other than intended, cutlery made of low quality stainless steel, corroded items washed in dishwasher
Avoid spilling salt around the salt filling hole and ensure the salt reservoir lid is tightly closed. Run the prewash programme to remove spilled salt. Remove dirt from dishes by prewash or wash without waiting. Check if your machine is connected to the actual grounding line. Do not use bleach or other intensive cleansers. Do not use metal kitchen utensils out of their intended uses. Do not wash cutlery made of low quality stainless steel or already corroded items in dishwasher.
Oorzaak: Detergent dispenser was damp, detergent added long before washing, detergent dispenser lid prevented from opening during washing, detergent stored under unsuitable conditions, impeller holes are clogged
Make sure the detergent dispenser is dried well prior to filling it. Add detergent shortly before start-up of washing. Place dishes in a way that will not prevent the detergent dispenser lid from opening. Store detergent in a closed container, preferably use tablet detergents. Clean the impellers regularly to remove food remnants.
Oorzaak: Decorated glasses and decorated lustre porcelains are not suitable for washing in the dishwasher
Do not wash decorated glasses and decorated lustre porcelains in the dishwasher.
Oorzaak: Kitchen utensils contain or are made of aluminium, salt leakage exists, water hardness setting is low or salt level is insufficient, dishes not placed orderly
Do not wash kitchen utensils containing or made of aluminium in dishwasher. Avoid spilling salt around the salt filling hole and ensure the salt reservoir lid is tightly closed. Run the prewash programme to remove spilled salt. Measure the hardness of the supply water and check the water hardness setting. When placing glasses and other glassware into the basket, lean them against the edges or racks of the basket or the glass support tines, not against other dishes.
Oorzaak: Excessive rinse aid is used, corrosion has occurred on glass due to soft water
Lower rinse aid setting. Clean the spilled rinse aid when adding rinse aid. Measure the hardness of the supply water and check the water hardness setting. If supply water is soft (less than 5 dH), do not use salt. Choose programmes that wash in higher temperatures (60-65°C). Use glass protective detergents that are commercially available.
Oorzaak: Dishes are washed with hand-wash detergent by hand but not rinsed before placing them into the machine, rinse aid has spilled into the machine, lid of the rinse aid reservoir is left open
There is no need to hand-wash the dishes before placing them into the machine; removing the coarse soil on the dishes under tap water with a tissue paper or fork will be sufficient. Take care that rinse aid is not spilled in the machine when filling it; clean any spilled rinse aid with a tissue paper/towel. Make sure that the lid of the rinse aid reservoir is closed after adding rinse aid.
Oorzaak: Dishes not placed orderly in the machine
Load the dishes as described in the user manual.
