Probleemoplossing

Praktische tips om de meest voorkomende problemen met BEKO DEN48520 op te lossen.

Machine does not start power

Oorzaak: Power cable is unplugged, fuse is blown, water is cut, door is open, or On/Off button is not pressed

Oplossing

Check if the power cable is plugged in. Check the fuses in your house. Make sure that the water inlet tap is open. Make sure that you have closed the door of the machine. Make sure that you have turned on the machine by pressing the On/Off button.

Dishes are not washed clean performance

Oorzaak: Dishes not placed orderly, unsuitable programme, impellers stuck or clogged, filters clogged or installed incorrectly, baskets overloaded, detergent stored under unsuitable conditions, insufficient detergent or rinse aid, detergent dispenser lid left open

Oplossing

Load the dishes as described in the user manual. Select a programme with a higher temperature and cycle time. Turn the lower and upper impellers by hand to make sure that they rotate freely. Clean the impellers and filters regularly. Do not overload the baskets. Store powder detergent in a closed container or use tablet detergents. Adjust the amount of detergent according to soiling degree. Check the rinse aid indicator and add rinse aid if necessary. Make sure that the detergent dispenser lid is closed tightly after adding detergent.

Dishes are not dry at the end of cycle performance

Oorzaak: Dishes not placed orderly, insufficient rinse aid, machine unloaded right after programme ends, unsuitable programme, or deteriorated surface quality of kitchen utensils

Oplossing

Place your dishes in a way that no water will accumulate in them. Check the rinse aid indicator and add rinse aid if necessary. Increase the rinse aid setting if there is enough amount of rinse aid in the machine. Do not unload your machine right after washing process is completed. Slightly open the door and wait for evacuation of the steam inside for a while. Unload the dishes after the pieces cool down to a touchable level. Start unloading process from the lower basket. Select programmes with longer duration for a higher drying performance. Do not wash kitchen utensils with deteriorated surfaces in dishwasher.

Tea, coffee or lipstick stains remain on dishes quality

Oorzaak: Unsuitable programme, deteriorated surface quality of kitchen utensils, or detergent stored under unsuitable conditions

Oplossing

Select a programme with a higher temperature and cycle time. Do not wash kitchen utensils with deteriorated surfaces in dishwasher. Store powder detergent in a closed container or use tablet detergents.

Lime traces remain on dishes and glassware gains a misty appearance water

Oorzaak: Insufficient rinse aid, low water hardness setting, insufficient salt level, or salt leakage exists

Oplossing

Check the rinse aid indicator and add rinse aid if necessary. Increase the rinse aid setting if there is enough amount of rinse aid in the machine. Measure the hardness of the supply water appropriately and check the water hardness setting. Pay attention not to spill salt around the salt filling hole while adding salt. Make sure that the salt reservoir lid is tightly closed after finishing the filling process. Run the prewash programme to remove the salt that spilled inside the machine.

There is a different odour in the machine maintenance

Oorzaak: New machine has a peculiar odour, filters are clogged, or dirty dishes are kept in dishwasher for 2-3 days

Oplossing

A new machine has a peculiar odour which will fade out after a couple of washes. Check if the filter system is clean. Clean the filter system regularly. If you are not going to start the machine right after you have put the dishes into it, remove the remnants on the dishes and run the Prewash programme without detergent every 2 days. Do not close the door of the machine completely in order to avoid odour build up. You can also use commercially available odour removers or machine cleaners.

Rust, discoloration or surface deterioration occurs on dishes water

Oorzaak: Salt leakage exists, salty food remnants have remained on dishes for a long time, electric installation is not grounded, intensive cleansers are used, metal items are used for purposes other than their intended uses, cutlery are made of low quality stainless steel, or kitchen utensils that are already corroded are washed in dishwasher

Oplossing

Pay attention not to spill salt around the salt filling hole while adding salt. Make sure that the salt reservoir lid is tightly closed after finishing the filling process. Run the prewash programme to remove the salt that spilled inside the machine. If cutlery soiled with salty foods will be kept waiting in machine, dirt must be removed by prewash or dishes must be washed without being kept waiting. Check if your machine is connected to the actual grounding line. Do not wash your dishes with bleach. Do not use metal kitchen utensils out of their intended uses. Do not wash low quality stainless steel cutlery or already corroded kitchen utensils in dishwashers.

Detergent remains in detergent dispenser maintenance

Oorzaak: Detergent dispenser was damp when adding detergent, detergent is added long before the washing process, opening of the detergent dispenser lid is prevented during washing, detergent is stored under unsuitable conditions, or impeller holes are clogged

Oplossing

Make sure that the detergent dispenser is dried well prior to filling it with detergent. Pay attention to add detergent shortly before start-up of the washing. Place the dishes in a way that will not prevent the detergent dispenser lid from opening and the water going into the machine from impellers. Store powder detergent in a closed container or use tablet detergents. Clean the impellers regularly.

Decorations and ornaments on kitchen utensils are being erased quality

Oorzaak: Decorated glasses and decorated lustre porcelains are not suitable for washing in the dishwasher

Oplossing

Decorated glasses and decorated lustre porcelains are not suitable for washing in the dishwasher. Manufacturers of some glassware and porcelain tableware items do not recommend washing such kitchen utensils in the dishwashers either.

Dishes are scratched quality

Oorzaak: Kitchen utensils that contains or are made of aluminium, salt leakage exists, low water hardness setting or insufficient salt level, or dishes are not placed orderly in the machine

Oplossing

Kitchen utensils that contains or are made of aluminium should not be washed in dishwasher. Pay attention not to spill salt around the salt filling hole while adding salt. Make sure that the salt reservoir lid is tightly closed after finishing the filling process. Run the prewash programme to remove the salt that spilled inside the machine. Measure the hardness of the supply water appropriately and check the water hardness setting. When placing the glasses and other glassware into the basket lean them not against other dishes but the edges or racks of the basket or the glass support tines.

A smear remains on glasses that resembles milk stain which can not be removed when wiped by hand. A bluish/rainbow appearance occurs when the glass is pointed to light quality

Oorzaak: Excessive rinse aid is used or corrosion has occurred on glass due to soft water

Oplossing

Lower rinse aid setting. Clean the spilled rinse aid when adding rinse aid. Measure the hardness of the supply water appropriately and check the water hardness setting. If your supply water is soft (<5 dH), do not use salt. Choose programmes that wash in higher temperatures (e.g. 60-65°C). You can also use glass protective detergents that are commercially available.

Foam forms in the machine maintenance

Oorzaak: Dishes are washed with hand-wash detergent by hand but not rinsed before placing them into the machine, rinse aid has spilled into the machine, or lid of the rinse aid reservoir is left open

Oplossing

Hand-wash detergents do not contain antifoam. There is no need to hand-wash the dishes before placing them into the machine. Removing the coarse soil on the dishes under tap water, with a tissue paper or fork will be sufficient. Take care that rinse aid is not spilled in the machine when you are filling it. Clean any spilled rinse aid with the help of a tissue paper/towel. Make sure that the lid of the rinse aid reservoir is closed after adding rinse aid.

Kitchen utensils are broken quality

Oorzaak: Dishes are not placed orderly in the machine

Load the dishes as described in the user manual.

Controleer de spoelglans-indicator en voeg spoelglans toe indien nodig. Meet de hardheid van het leidingwater en controleer de waterhardheidinstelling. Zorg dat u geen zout morst rond het zoutgat en dat het zoutreservoirdeksel stevig dicht is.

Een nieuwe machine kan een vreemde geur hebben die na een paar wasbeurten verdwijnt. Zorg dat de filters schoon zijn. Als u borden enkele dagen in de machine bewaart, verwijder dan vooraf de etensresten en start elke twee dagen het spoelprogramma zonder wasmiddel. Laat de deur niet helemaal dicht om geurophoping te voorkomen.

Wees voorzichtig om geen zout te morsen rond het zoutgat. Zorg dat het zoutreservoirdeksel stevig dicht is. Verwijder zoutresten vooraf niet vast zittende voedsel snel uit het bestek. Controleer of uw machine proper is geaard. Gebruik geen bleek en gebruik bestek niet voor onbedoelde doeleinden.

Zorg dat de wasmiddellade droog is voordat u wasmiddel toevoegt. Voeg wasmiddel kort voor het starten toe. Plaats borden zodat de wasmiddellade lid en water van de impellers niet worden geblokkeerd. Zorg dat de impellergaten niet verstopt zijn met voedselbrokken.

Plaats glazen niet tegen elkaar aan, maar tegen de randen van het mandje of glazensteunen. Zorg dat u geen zout morst, want dit kan krassen veroorzaken. Meet de hardheid van het leidingwater en controleer de waterhardheidinstelling.

Gebruik geen handwasafwasmiddel in de vaatwasser, want dit bevat geen antischuim. Verwijder alleen grof vuil onder de waterkraan. Zorg dat spoelglans niet in de machine morst en dat het deksel van het spoelglasreservoir goed dicht is.
