Verbind de SUV-kabel direct met de server blade. Verbind vervolgens de videoconnector met een monitor en de USB-connectoren met USB-apparaten zoals een muis en toetsenbord.

Knijp altijd de ontgrendelingsknoppen aan de zijkanten van de connector voordat u de SUV-kabel losmaakt. Zonder dit kunt u schade aan de apparatuur veroorzaken.

Voor eenvoudige configuraties met alleen een muis en toetsenbord is geen USB-hub nodig. Gebruik een USB-hub wanneer u meer apparaten wilt aansluiten, met name voor USB CD/DVD-ROM drives en diskette drives.

iLO 3 is een standaardcomponent in ProLiant c-Class server blades die remote serverbeheerbaarheid biedt. Het stelt u in staat om de serverconsolе op afstand te benaderen, servers uit te schakelen of opnieuw op te starten, virtuele media-images op te starten voor ROM-upgrades en geavanceerde probleemoplossingsfuncties te gebruiken.

Drie primaire implementatiemethoden worden ondersteund: PXE-implementatie (via netwerk), CD-ROM-implementatie en diskette-image-implementatie.

De PXE-implementatieserver vereist een AMD Athlon XP-processor (700 MHz of sneller aanbevolen), AMD Athlon 64-processor of Intel Pentium III of hoger (500 MHz aanbevolen), 256 MB RAM, een 10-Mb/s netwerkadapter en een CD-ROM drive.

Verbind de SUV-kabel met de server blade, verbind de videoconnector met een monitor, verbind vervolgens de USB-hub met één van de USB-connectoren en sluit USB-apparaten aan op de hub.

U kunt een USB-hub, USB-toetsenbord, USB-muis, USB CD/DVD-ROM drive en USB diskette drive via de SUV-kabel aansluiten.
