Oorzaak: The memory card is locked

Refer to [Card Locked!] error message

Oorzaak: There is low battery capacity

Insert fresh batteries

Insert the battery according to the polarity marks (+, -)

Turn the camera power on

Keep the camera in warm conditions (i.e. inside a coat or jacket) and only remove it in order to take images

Oorzaak: The camera stopped due to a malfunction

Remove /re-insert battery and switch the camera on

Oorzaak: A picture was taken of the subject without setting an appropriate macro mode

Select an appropriate macro mode to take a clear image

Oorzaak: Taking a picture beyond the flash range

Take a picture within the flash range

Oorzaak: The lens is smudged or dirty

Clean the lens

Oorzaak: Flash off mode has been selected

Dis-engage flash off mode

Oorzaak: The camera mode can't use the flash

Refer to the FLASH instruction

Oorzaak: Exposure is excessive

Reset exposure compensation

Oorzaak: The external monitor has not been connected properly with the camera

Check the connection cables

Oorzaak: There are incorrect files in the memory card

Insert a memory card that has correct files

Oorzaak: The date and time have been set incorrectly or the camera has adopted the default settings

Reset the date and time correctly

Oorzaak: Camera malfunction

Remove/re-insert battery and switch the camera on

Oorzaak: The camera is off

Turn the camera on

Oorzaak: Incorrect memory card format

Re-format the memory card

Oorzaak: Cable connection is incorrect

Check the connection

Oorzaak: The operating system is not Windows 98SE, 2000, ME, XP, Vista / Mac OS 10.0 - 10.4. Alternatively the PC does not support USB

Install Windows 98SE, 2000, ME, XP, Vista / Mac OS 10.0 - 10.4 to PC

Oorzaak: The camera driver is not installed

Install a [USB Storage Driver]

Oorzaak: Incorrect file name (Violation of DCF format)

Do not change the image file name

Oorzaak: White balance or effect setting is incorrect

Select appropriate White balance and effect

Oorzaak: USB cable connection issue

Connect the supplied USB cable

Oorzaak: Camera driver not correctly installed

Install the camera driver correctly. Turn off the camera, remove the USB cable, plug in the USB cable again, and then turn on the camera

Oorzaak: File transfer error

Turn the camera power off and on again. Transfer the file again

Oorzaak: PC and USB hub are not compatible

Wherever possible, connect the camera to the PC directly

Oorzaak: The camera may malfunction when it is connected to the PC at the same time as another USB cable

Disconnect the other USB cable, and connect only one USB cable to the camera

Oorzaak: Driver issue

Right-click on the entry with the question or exclamation mark and select 'Remove'. Restart the PC and connect the camera again

Oorzaak: Security program interference

Stop the security programs and connect the camera to the computer. Refer to the security program instructions about how to temporarily disable the program

Oorzaak: Computer may not recognise the camera when connected to front USB port

Connect the camera to the USB port located on the back of the computer

Oorzaak: DirectX 9.0 or later is not installed

Install the DirectX 9.0 or later from the CD provided with the camera

Oorzaak: PC not recognising the camera after repeated connections

Re-start the PC

Oorzaak: Windows startup conflict with camera connection

Disconnect the PC and the camera and Windows will start. If the problem happens continuously, set the Legacy USB Support to disable and re-start the PC

Oorzaak: Only Samsung Master installed without other application programs

Close the Samsung Master program by clicking the Samsung Master icon on the Taskbar. Install all the application programs included in the software CD
